So, you want to
plan your first feature? Where do you start? What are the pitfalls? How
do you protect your ideas?
In
this session we will examine how three particular filmmakers approached some of
the key elements in planning their first feature; from developing a script,
finding a creative producer, raising funding and promoting their work to get
people on board.
The session will be presented by Will
Massa (Vision+Media) who will be
joined on the panel by Elaine Constantine (Director and Photographer currently developing her first feature Northern
Soul), Debbie Grey (Exec Producer of Factual Production at ITV) Martin
Wallace (Director/Writer/Producer -
currently in production on his Merseyside feature Nowhere Fast) and John
Entwhistle (TBC) who is in the
early stages of planning his first feature.
